Divorce In Canada
Divorce In Canada
Divorce in Canada is regulated by the Divorce Act (Federal Law).
Your divorce judgement will deal with parenting, child and spousal support arrangements. The divorce takes effect 30 days after a Justice of the Court of Kings Bench signs the divorce. Remember that although you need to wait a year after separation to apply for the divorce, all other arrangements can be worked on and finalized in the meantime.
The Family Law Act distributes all assets, debts (that were accumulated during the marriage) and exemptions.
The right legal team can provide you with not just legal advice but can help you make the right financial and legal decisions. Benefit from our experience and knowledge gained from successfully handling a variety of divorce cases for over 30 years.
